This wonderfully anarchic production from Curve and Rose Theatre Kingston features riotous rhymes, infectious humour, and spectacular circus for the grown-ups.
‘An absolute delight: the cat’s whiskers.’ — The Guardian
‘A delightful and highly energetic adaptation.’ — London Theatre
We’ve already got our tickets and I’m so excited to see The Cat in the Hat at the Oxford Playhouse this February half term. The show looks absolutely brilliant – based on the much-loved book by Dr Suess, there will be songs, mayhem and acrobats!
With huge thanks to the Playhouse, we’ve got 4 tickets to give away to one lucky Mumbler for the show on Tuesday 19th February 2019 at 6.30pm…
To enter, just go to the Facebook post here, like and share it and add a comment. If you’re not on Facebook send me an email oxford@mumbler.co.uk just letting me now you’d like to enter. That’s it! Good luck! Closing date is Sunday 27th January 2019 at 10pm.
The Cat in the Hat is running from Tuesday 19th to Saturday 23rd February 2019. Tickets are £10 to £22 and the age guideline is 4+. For more info or to book tickets for The Cat in the Hat, visit the Oxford Playhouse website here.
ALSO, running alongside the show, there’s ‘The Cat in the Hat Fun in a Box’ which kids will love and will help make it even more of a day out. ‘Write silly things, solve thingy-me-bobs and create thingy-me-jigs – The Top Room will be full of activities that are easy to do, hard to solve and that you can recreate at home, so you’ll never be bored on a rainy day again.’ This is FREE! Wednesday 20th to Friday 22nd February, 12.30 to 2pm &3.50 to 4.30pm.
As we’ve discovered on our outings to the Playhouse, it’s a really child-friendly theatre, with booster seats available for kids and toys for them to play with in the bar (everyone is happy in that scenario!). Here’s a full list of their family-friendly features:
