Hinksey Sculling School

Hinksey Sculling School is a community rowing club with a focus on junior rowing. Hinksey welcomes all newcomers, whether beginners or experienced athletes. Beginners must complete a swim test and capsize drill. Our minimum starting age is Year 6, though we do occasionally accept members in Year 5.

Training in Hinksey, Godstow, Abingdon and Marston Ferry Road.

Isis Canoe Club

Designed to encourage individual paddlers and families with children 10 years+, who are qualified to ISIS Intermediate or “British Canoeing” 2 star award and above. While mainly kayaking, the experiences and training will be across a range of craft. To take part you need to be a member of the club.

Club nights are Tuesdays: 18:30-21:00

Oxford Canoe and Kayak Club

The club provides paddling opportunities and coaching for young people and adults, and we welcome enquiries from all age groups and families.

The Dons (age 9-13) section meets on Wednesdays at 6.00 pm, April to October. We also run Saturday sessions which are open to all club members.

A two-hour coaching session for junior windsurfers. RYA Stage 1 required. Thursdays: 6.00-8.00pm, May to September.

West Oxfordshire Sailing Club

We run Saturday and Sunday sessions for all Junior members above the age of 8. They are an opportunity for young sailors to improve their skills and tactics. There is no need to book either the Saturday or Sunday sessions, just turn up.
