Mothers Who Make is a growing national (and now international) initiative aimed at supporting mothers who are artists – professional and/or passionate. Every kind of maker is welcomed, and every kind of mother. We meet and discuss the joys and challenges of creating and mothering and the ways in which they combine in our lives. The group aims to support its members through active listening and the encouragement. As parents are now taking on an even greater diversity of roles in the home, we need the support of our peers more than ever.
The Oxford hub of MWM previously met on a monthly basis at the Oxford Playhouse, but have now moved online and would love to welcome new members. Our ethos is that children are always welcomed to the meetings and now to the online ones as well. Whatever we need to do to care for our children during meetings, we do without apology!
