Science at the Shops – Templars Square, Cowley

October 20, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Investigate yourself, your planet and the Universe as IF Oxford comes to Templars Sqaure. Look inside your body and mind, find out how medicines work, take care of planet Earth and meet it’s neighbours in space, or help to write a science song. Don’t forget to drop into our Planetarium!

Activities include:

Build a medicine catapult (University of Oxford, Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics)
Breathing and the brain (University of Oxford, Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences)
Test your senses (University of Oxford, Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences)
See the stars in the Planetarium dome (STFC RAL / Science Oxford)
Breathing works (University of Oxford, Respiratory Medicine Unit, Oxford Respiratory Trials Unit)
Operation Earth (University of Oxford, Museum of Natural History)
Lower your carbon footprint (Rose Hill and Iffley Low Carbon)
Understanding the brain (University of Oxford, Department of Experimental Psychology)
Seeing invisible particles (University of Oxford, Department of Physics)
Attack of the antibodies (University of Oxford, Department of Paediatrics)
Write and perform a science song (Science Troubadour, Jonny Berliner)

This is a drop-in event, so you don’t need to book a ticket, but it would help us monitor interest if you register here.

The event is free, but donations to IF Oxford are welcomed.
